I'm still using it. I feel like it's the best synthetic for the price. 10w40 seems to be the sweet spot for the e36 m3, but 5w40 or 0w40 is just as good. I use the 5w40 because it's readily available and only $35 for 5L. 10w40 synthetic is also just historically hard to find. I think more companies make it now though. Usually it's more expensive. Either way 5w30 was a mistake for the track. Fine for the street, engine revs nice on 5w30 just doesn't protect at high temps. 15w50 or 20w50 is WAY too thick, don't run it no matter what people say. I've ran 15w50 and it was noticeably slower at all temps. Oil is like coffee or breakfast cereal though, you find out what you like through personal experience.
